Your photos stay yours
Photos are private by default. We use them only to create and deliver the book you asked for, and share them only with the service providers required to do that. We do not sell your photos, use them for advertising, or use them to train our own AI models. A photo uploaded on the landing page expires after 24 hours if you do not save it to an account; books and characters saved to an account stay until you delete them. Questions, answered
What kind of photo works best?
A clear, well-lit photo where faces are easy to see, and one you have permission to use. Straight-on beats a distant action shot. One photo can include several people, dogs, or cats — you choose who belongs in the story before anything is created.
Can you make a storybook from a photo of my dog or cat?
Yes. Pets can be the hero of the story or ride along with the rest of the family. The same one-photo flow applies: upload, approve the likeness, then the story is written around them.
Do I get to approve the book before it is printed?
Yes. Printed books are made to order, and you review and approve the finished proof before anything is sent to the printer.
What is the difference between the digital book and the printed one?
Completing the digital storybook is $15: every page illustrated, an interactive book saved to your account, and a downloadable PDF. A printed keepsake is optional and includes the digital book — $35 total for softcover, $45 total for hardcover. Shipping and applicable tax are shown before payment.
How long does it take?
You can write the story, create the characters, and see the cover and first illustrated pages in one sitting. Completing the book generates the rest of the illustrations in the background — you can leave and come back, and we email you when the illustrated preview is ready. Printed books take 2–4 business days to produce, plus delivery.
Are my photos private?
Yes. Photos are private by default and used only to create and deliver what you asked for. We do not sell your photos, use them for advertising, or use them to train our own AI models. A landing-page photo expires after 24 hours if you do not save it to an account.
