Wonderbly puts their name in the story. We put their face in it.

Wonderbly (Lost My Name) is the classic personalized children's book: their name, a template story, a cartoon avatar. It is a real gift brand, and it is the right pick if you want a name-on-the-page hardcover and you do not need the hero to look like your child.

Storybook Studio (.io) is for a different question: a book that actually looks like my child, from a real photo, that I can read tonight and print later.

No card required · $15 one-time to complete the digital book

How they differ

Likeness
Wonderbly uses a name and a stylized avatar. We build an illustrated character from one photo, and you approve it before any page is drawn.
Story
Wonderbly is catalog titles. We write an original story from your idea.
Price
Wonderbly is print-first, typically around $40. We are free to start, $15 for the digital book, $35 softcover + digital or $45 hardcover + digital. No subscription.
Speed
You can read ours the same night. Print is optional.
Photos
We do not sell photos or use them to train our own AI models, and a landing-page photo expires after 24 hours if you do not save it.

Who Wonderbly is for

A name-in-the-story gift, a known title, no photo upload.

Who we are for

A book that looks like the child (or the dog, or the grandparent) in the photo.

From a customer

“We just welcomed our first child, and in a few quick steps I was able to create a story starring our whole family. It couldn’t have been more intuitive. And after seeing how it turned out, I mean it when I say it: trust the process.”

Making this for someone else's child?

If you are a grandparent: ask the parents before you upload a photo. If they say no, a name-only book like Wonderbly is the respectful choice. Our consent checklist walks through how to ask.

Questions, answered

Is this storybookstudio.org?

No. We are Storybook Studio at storybookstudio.io. We are not affiliated with, and do not operate, storybookstudio.org. If you reached us from a link, check that the address ends in .io.

Do I have to print?

No. The digital book stands on its own — read it tonight on any device, and order a printed copy later only if you want one.

Can more than one person be in the photo?

Yes. One photo can include several people, or a pet. You choose who belongs in the story before anything is created.
