Christmas gifts

A Christmas gift for your grandson, all about him

If your grandson already has plenty of toys, a storybook about him can be the gift he keeps. You can appear beside him when you add yourself as a person in the cast. The pages shown here are a child with his parents in a workshop, not a grandfather-and-grandson attic tale. Your dedication is yours to write.

If he has just turned three, start with gifts for 3-year-olds.

Story excerpt

There were rocking horses taller than Dad and drums as round as tables. Oliver spotted a tiny wooden fox beneath a bench. ‘Hello. What are you doing down there?’ He gave the fox a gentle push. Wibble. Wobble. Stop. One wheel was much too big. ‘You won’t get far like that,’ Oliver said.

These pages come from a made-up family. The book you make uses your names, photos, and the details you share, and its story is written fresh.

Who it's for

This guide is for a grandmother or grandfather buying for a boy. The holiday story is still written for ages 3 to 7. A teenage grandson is outside that range. The age shown by the cover belongs to the example, not to your grandson.

The spreads are the wobbly fox, the wheel room, and the stars the family draws on: a swirl, a wonky heart, and four round wheels. They are useful if you want a gift about making something side by side. They are not a script about your house.

You do not need a studio portrait. You share one clear photo of the child. If the only picture is older or busy, say so in the notes.

If he lives a state away, ship to his house and keep the digital file on your account until a parent can open it. A snowsuit snapshot is usable when his face fills the frame. Leave the other sledder out of the crop.

What gets personalized

Grandma or Grandpa can be in the story as a supporting person with a relationship label you choose. The adults shown here are Mom and Dad. Relationship labels on your order are whatever you type.

The holiday story has room for a dedication. Write it as yourselves. Shipping to his address is the checkout address, limited to the countries named in the format section. There is no separate gift-note product beyond that dedication.

Format, price, and timing

Grandparents who mail a package to another house should read Pricing before they tell anyone a delivery day. The cards are only the book totals. This grandson guide hides order-by dates on purpose.

Questions

Can grandma or grandpa be in the story?

Yes, as one of the supporting people, with a name and a clear photo. The story is still about your grandson. The adults shown here are parents, not grandparents.

Can I ship it straight to him?

Checkout collects the shipping address for the printed book. The format section names the countries and the production time. The digital book stays on the account that bought it.

What if I don't have a good photo?

The flow asks for one clear photo so the likeness can be approved. A crowded or tiny snapshot is a weak reference. These example pages can't stand in for a missing photo of your grandson.

Will a printed book arrive for Christmas?

Christmas order-by dates are published on the pricing page when they are visible there. Until then, use the production time in the format section below.
