Story excerpt
‘A birthday treasure hunt!’ said Dad. Ellie tucked the star into her pocket. ‘I’ll be the finder.’ The sunflower nodded over the fence. Under its biggest leaf, Ellie found a blue ribbon tied in a bow.
These pages come from a made-up family. The book you make uses your names, photos, and the details you share, and its story is written fresh.
The dog who has to be in the picture
A six-year-old will refuse a present that leaves the family dog out. This story answers that request: the child and the dog together. It is not a baby album. It is written for 3 through 7.
Every snapshot is one person or one hound. A backyard picture of a hug is not split into two faces. Upload an in-focus face snapshot of the child and a separate one where the dog's muzzle, collar, and body are easy to see. A cat can use the same option. A rabbit, a horse, or a fish is not sketched.
The cast is one to four, and the child is a person. The family dog takes one of the remaining seats. Another animal takes one more. There is no breed menu and no coat-color list. The snapshot is the reference, and you accept the drawing before the scenes are made.
The scenes beside these words are a blue ribbon under a sunflower, a small photograph of a hug, an empty space saved for a later memory, and a picnic with strawberries. No dog is sketched there. Do not treat those pictures as proof a hound will appear. Your dog appears because you include the dog, with its own snapshot. A grandparent story, if that is all you want, includes people only and will not sketch the dog.
What gets personalized
Enter the child's first name and the year they are turning, from 3 through 7. Note what they love right now, such as fetch in the side yard or the blue water bowl by the door. You choose the dog's name yourself.
Bring the family dog in with a separate snapshot and the word you use at home. Mom or Dad can join too, still within four seats. You see the drawings before illustration continues, and the file comes with the purchase.
Format, price, and timing
Adding a dog does not change how long paper takes. The cards are the book totals. Production and transit stay on Pricing. The digital copy is ready once you approve the proof, and this pet guide prints no order-by date.

Questions
Can one snapshot show both the child and the dog?
Not for this story. Every snapshot is one person or one hound. Use an in-focus snapshot of the child and a separate one of the dog, or of a cat.
Which kinds can be sketched?
Dogs and a cat. Other kinds are not a supported likeness. There is no breed list and no coat-color menu.
Why is the dog missing from the lawn scenes?
Those scenes are a treasure hunt and a picnic. Your dog is sketched when you include the dog with a snapshot.
